Present the fire warden roles and responsibilities before, during and following an evacuation of the Casa Loma Community

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council consider and direct staff to proceed with the first step of becoming a Bear Smart Community and undertake a Bear Hazard Assessment at a cost of $15,000.00; and

    THAT WildSafe BC be invited to an upcoming Committee of the Whole to provide an update on the progress of their work within the City of West Kelowna.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council give first and second reading to City of West Kelowna Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 0100.64, 2021 (File: Z 21-02); and

    THAT Council give first and second reading to City of West Kelowna Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 0154.104, 2021 (File: Z 21-02); and

    THAT Council direct staff to schedule the proposed bylaw amendments for Public Hearing pending receipt of a conceptual stormwater management plan to the satisfaction of the Director of Engineering.

  • Recommendation:

    THAT Council approve the issuance of a Development Variance Permit (DVP 21-27) that varies S.5.2.1 and S.6.7.1(b) of Sign Bylaw No. 0250, to permit one off-site sign, and increase the maximum size of two temporary real estate signs (inclusive) from 6.0 m2 to 18.6 m2 and 8.9 m2, in accordance with the attached permit (Attachment 1), subject to adoption of Z 20-04 (Goat’s Peak, Block C).

The next Council meeting is scheduled for February 8, 2022.
