This meeting was open to the public.  All representations to Council form part of the public record.  This meeting was webcast live to be seen and heard, at www.westkelownacity.ca/webcasts.

West Kelowna Mayor and Council welcomed the public to the first purpose-built City Hall, which opened its doors to serve the public with administration functions on May 21. Council is pleased to provide the new City Hall as a place of governance and administrative services, in place of the temporary facility that had been used for 15 years.

The community is invited to the ribbon cutting and official opening celebration for Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant – the number one priority project for Council. Celebrations will take place Friday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the facility at 1500 Rosewood Drive. More than 19,600 residents receive clean, safe, and reliable water from the new plant.

    Resolution No.C160/24

    THAT Council authorize the issuance of a Development Variance Permit (DVP 24-01) for 855 Proserpine Road to vary S.3.25.1 (a) of Zoning Bylaw No. 0265 to reduce the siting regulation from an agricultural parcel from 15 m to 0 m for the existing structure in accordance with the permit attached to and forming part of the report dated May 21, 2024 from the Planner II.

    THAT Zoning Amendment Bylaw No.0265.27, 2024 be adopted.

    THAT Council authorize the Mayor and Deputy CAO to execute the Fire Ladder Agreement with the City of West Kelowna and the District of Peachland for fire services for a 5 year term, to commence after execution.

    THAT Council approve, the Regional District of Central Okanagan applying for, receiving, and managing the 2024 Community Emergency Preparedness Fund grant (Emergency Operations Centre Equipment and Training) on behalf of the City of West Kelowna.
