The meeting was called to order at 3:01 p.m.

It was acknowledged that this meeting was held on the traditional territory of the Syilx/Okanagan Peoples.

This meeting was open to the public and all representations to Council form part of the public record. This meeting was webcast live and archived on the City’s website.

    Resolution No.COW006-24

    THAT the minutes from the Committee of the Whole meeting held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in the City of West Kelowna Council Chambers be adopted.

Jeremiah Ryder, Executive Director, Westbank Museum provided a presentation on a proposal to implement and expand a Heritage Preservation program for the City of West Kelowna and was available for questions and comments from Council.

Lisa Lopez, WildSafeBC Program Manager, BC Conservation Foundation and Breanna Scott, WildSafeBC Central Okanagan Coordinator provided a presentation on the Bear Hazard Assessment and were available for questions and comments from Council.

    Resolution No.COW007-24

    THAT Council request a staff report that informs Council on the next steps in the Bear Smart Community program.

Sean Glendinning, President of West Kelowna Minor Baseball, provided a verbal presentation on a proposed Indoor Baseball Complex and was available for questions and comments from Council.

The meeting recessed at 4:34 p.m.

The meeting reconvened at 4:42 p.m.

The Director of Finance/CFO provided a PowerPoint presentation on the 2025 budget primer capital and reserves and was available for questions and comments from Council.
