The meeting was called to order at 6:46 p.m.

It was acknowledged that this meeting was held on the traditional territory of the Syilx/Okanagan Peoples.

This meeting was open to the public.  All representations to Council form part of the public record.  This meeting was webcast live and archived on the City's website.

    THAT the agenda be adopted as amended.

    CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY

Mayor Milson noted that it is National Public Works Week and acknowledged the City’s public works staff who build, operate, repair and maintain municipal facilities and services.

Mr. Freeman provided an introduction and update on Central Okanagan Hospice Association Programs.

Mr. Kendel and Ms. Coates presented the Waste Reduction - Solid Waste Management Plan Update and Recycle BC Partnership.

Allan Neilson, Neilson Strategies Inc. was in attendance to present.

    Resolution No.C141/22

    THAT Council resolve to direct staff to begin establishing an Economic Development Corporation for the City of West Kelowna, and report back to Council with progress updates regarding the development of a Corporation Charter, budget and legal documents under the Community Charter and Business Corporations Act.

  • It was moved and seconded

    Resolution No.C142/22

    THAT Council postpone consideration of Third Reading to City of West Kelowna Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 0154.112, 2022; and direct staff to bring the file back with bylaw amendments to limit the total number of boat slips to six.
